About Claire...

Hello postcrossers,

my name is Claire, I am an expert for cyber criminality, working as a freelancer. I am originally from Germany and moved to Switzerland back in 2016 because of the refugee crisis.

I am very happy to live in a safe and democratic, well-run (!!!) country now!

In my free time I like hiking, reading, gardening. I work as voluntary in a retirement home. And I love to travel. I have friends all over the world, because I have worked abroad a lot in my career (most European countries, Singapore, Shanghai, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, USA, Malaysia) and I love to visit them and being visited by them.

But speaking of postcards...

My favourite postcards are:
Maps
beautiful nature views
Art
Modern architecture
Airports/aircraft
Volcanos
Space/Starry Sky
Wild flowers/animals of your country
postcards with a lot to see/collection of things
Ad cards (yes! Most postcrossers do not like them, but I find them very interesting, because they reflect the culture of a country)
handmade
Greetings from... (country)
US state cards (btw, I have lived in Edgewater, NJ, from 2006-2008)
famous people of your country/royals

I am not much into comics, cute or funny cards, or religious motives. Generally I dislike religions which do not respect fundamental human rights such as the equality of men and women.

If you don´t have my favourite kind of cards, don´t worry. Just send me a card you really like. I cherish EVERY card I receive. I put them all in a box and I love to browse through. I love the idea to be connected to people all over the world through a postcard. The world is an amazing place, and the variety of postcards in my box reflects just that!

Looking forward to reading from you soon! Happy postcrossing!

Claire

PS: If you have sent a card to me and it is about to expire, send me the ID and I will register it. I register every card the same day, and usually the Swiss post is very reliable. But nobody is perfect!
