Greetings! Here are a few things about me.

I like to learn about other countries, languages, and history. I know some French and some Russian.

Reading literature, novels, short stories gives me pleasure. Favorite books from my younger days are the D'Artagnan romances by Alexandre Dumas beginning with "The Three Musketeers" and ending with "The Man in the Iron Mask." Current favorite writers are Victor Hugo and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

Many different kinds of music give me enjoyment. Sometimes I play a little on the clarinet.

I like stamps of different countries, and I support using old-fashioned mail. I would like to see interesting stamps of your country, especially ATM stamps (printed on demand by machine, or "Automatenmarken" ) if your country uses them. But don't worry--any stamps are fine with me.

Photography is a hobby of mine. I like making pictures, especially with film, and posting on Flickr and Lomography.

I like to draw in sketchbooks and dabble in watercolor.
I enjoy using our sewing machine.

I am interested in psychoanalytic theory and practice and took a class in it.

My wife is a retired child psychiatric nurse. She is very busy creating art every day.
I am a retired medical doctor.

We have a Cavalier King Charles spaniel named Fiona. We miss our African Grey parrot.
