About Carlos...

Hello dear postcrossers!

I’m a Spanish guy that has been living in Germany for more than 10 years now. I work in automation industry, and because of that I spend quite some time travelling. I love to write postcards to my family and friends on every occasion that I’m in some other city or country, but with the years and after writing hundreds and hundreds of postcards, I found out that I was sending a lot of them but I was getting very few! And I love to receive postcard as much as I do love send them!! Postcrossing is a good way to get some to my mailbox and as well to know a little bit about other places around the world, other people and new experiences and stories.

One of my biggest hobbies is astronomy, I love to look up at the night sky and recognize the constellations and the planets, and unfortunately, thanks to Elon Musk, a lot of satellite trails, which are terrible for astrophotographers. I like as well nature in general, especially birds and also the often forgotten insects. I remember my younger days when I could still see stag beetles and fireflies. That's also a reason why I do not like cats, because sometimes their owners let the cats just go outside unattended and they kill a lot of small animals, from birds to salamanders. Do you know that a single cat (and his owner neglect) wiped out the Stephens Island Wren?

I do collect fossils and meteorites. Not that my collection is huge, but I like that kind of stuff. I do collect stamps as well! Started as a kid, and after years and years I have thousands. I'm also open to stamps exchanges.

If you don’t feel very comfortable writing in English in the postcard, I do speak as well Spanish, German and French (I love French language!). I can understand portuguese. I'll be glad to read from you in your native language :). You can tell me about the culture of your country or region, things that maybe just a insider would know about your town, or whatever you want!

About the postcard itself, feel free to send any type or theme, really! But if you want some ideas (just suggestions, not a must!!!), I like:

- Starry nights, space, meteorological phenomena, Carl Sagan (Space stuff!)
- Mythology, specially greek. There are a lot of interesting stories in there!
- Mushrooms, insects, microscopic creatures, Darwin
- Fossils, prehistoric animals/plants
- Gay (men) and LGTB rights
- I love drawings from Katsushika Hokusai
- Science fiction (also vintage)
- Street festivals from your country

But those are ONLY SUGGESTIONS, any postcard would be great, specially if you write a lot in the back side :).

Happy Postcrossing!
