Hello! We are the Sprangers, a small family living in Verona, Wisconsin! Brian and I (Colette) are the parents; Reed is our 2-year-old son.

We send the postcards we receive to a dear friend who really needs some joy in her life.

When it's your turn to send us a card, address it to our friend Marie, c/o Brian and Colette Spranger. Marie has been bedridden and ill for many years now with a disease called myalgic encephalomyelitis. Colette and Marie have been penpals for almost 20 years and we have been sending her our received postcards for a few years now. She says, "The mail is an immense encouragement to me." Send her a note that lets her know she's not forgotten. A simple hello goes a long way!

Here's how it works. We collect the cards and then send them to Norway (where she lives) once they've arrived and we've registered them.

Marie enjoys beautiful things, especially:
-MUSIC. She loves Paul Simon and enjoys Bob Dylan, Frank Zappa, and other musicians in this genre. She's also fond of a Danish group call Hymns from Nineveh.

-Impressionist paintings
-fairy tales
-religious images
-art in general
-beautiful things
-inspiring/encouraging messages
-a postcard from your hometown or somewhere you've traveled.

Marie speaks Norwegian and English fluently, and some Azeri, German, and Arabic.

We know she would enjoy these kind of cards, but feel free to send whatever card you have you think someone who's been ill a long time might enjoy. We're hoping the messages continue to bring her some cheer.
