Hello!

My name is Brent and I like big trees, old homes and people who are kind to others and the Earth. I am married, and care for a dog, a cat, and a goldfish. The region in Pennsylvania where we live is beautiful and has a rich Pennsylvania-German culture, along with many other peoples--which is great for people like us who enjoy ethnic foods and diverse cultures. Our landscape is made up of mountains and valleys, flowing streams and rivers, good soils, and a mix of small cities and tiny villages--most founded in the 1700's.

I work for our state park service, and am currently studying historic preservation at the Pennsylvania State University. My wife is also in school and works as a social worker who teaches support staff how to better serve adults with learning disabilities.

We hope to travel all over the world, and are interested in learning about your favorite places to visit to experience local culture and natural beauty. We enjoy traveling by truck towing our 1965 Airstream trailer, plane, train, bicycle, kayak and on foot.

My favorite postcards are "Then and Now" style photographs that show the similarities and differences between what a place looked like before, and the way it is now. Though we also really appreciate photographs or sketches of historic sites in your town, and the natural places you find most beautiful. Tell us something about yourself and the places you like, and consider including the date and what the weather is like when you're writing the card. Fun and interesting stamps are the icing on the cake!
