I'm a retired head teacher and I live in a village 8 miles outside Manchester. I'm married with one son, a grandson and granddaughter, and one newly born great grandson, all of whom live nearby. I've run a reading group for the past 10 years and we meet once a month. My favourite books are To Kill A Mockingbird and The Great Gatsby, but these are just two of many books that I've read several times. On average I read at least three books a month, when I'm not knitting. I love doing code breaking puzzles and sudoku. We have a little theatre in the village and I go to watch plays there, and I like going to classical music concerts. I love Andrea Bocelli and Chopin and Mozart. I love watching sport especially tennis and Federer.

I've travelled all over the world... all around Europe, China, Hong Kong, Bali, India, Singapore, Dubai, we've toured around all the National Parks in the USA, we've been to Brazil, Borneo, Peru, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Russia, and whilst in France I climbed to the top of Mont Blanc.
