I live in a small house in the big city of Chicago with my family (wife and two daughters) and three cats. We love home but also love to travel to see places both near and far. I am the editorial director of an academic book publisher, and I myself work on books particularly in the fields of history, culture, psychology, technology, and the sciences.

I will enjoy receiving any kind of postcard, either with or without an envelope (whichever way you prefer to send). If you love a postcard, I know I will find it interesting! But some of my own particular interests include:

- books, typewriters, printing, calligraphy, paper, newspapers, texts, or reading and writing of any kind
- postage stamps or anything related to the mail/post
- interesting portraits of people (especially photographs)
- scenic or historic places or landscapes
- any kind of musical instrument (especially the saxophone) or performing arts (especially jazz, the Grateful Dead, or theater)
- baseball, softball, or cricket
- travel, transportation, or vehicles
- nature and the sciences

I also greatly enjoy postage stamps, so if you like using interesting, beautiful, or unusual ones (old or new), I will notice and be very grateful for them. Thank you!
