About Esther...

Hi, my name is Esther. I live on the island of Texel, just of the coast of the northern part of The Netherlands. I am curious about people and places and I would love to receive postcards with photo's of the place were you live. Nature, buildings, landmarks, the kind of clothing that is typical for your region. Tell me something about your country, your town. If I were to travel there, what would you reccommend me to go and see? What is typical about your people, your place? Typical for your part of the world holidays and festivals?
I also like cards about:
Steampunk, art nouveau, art deco, art, clouds, Victorian era, books, libraries, writing tools, greenhouses, abandoned buildings (urban decay), Hundertwasser and Steiner buildings, natural building and tiny houses, wolves, cooking and old cooking utensils. But any postcard which makes you happy while sending, will probably make me happy receiving. Please no ad cards?! NO Touchnote cards!!
The beautiful island of Texel where I live is small. About 25 km long. We live here with about 13.000 people and 30.000 sheep. We have, of course, beautiful beaches but also forest. And one small hill, that is called De Hoge Berg (the high mountain), which of course it is not. A lot of high dunes, though. I love cooking, reading, gardening and traveling. I grow my own veggies and herbs, have a small greenhouse. I like to go walking with my dog, a rough haired Dutch shepherd called Dirk. If you happen to be the owner of a rough haired Dutch shepherd, I would lóve to get a photo of your dog!
Take care!

Please NO envelopes! I love postcards with stamps that show the card has travelled....Thank you. Oh and please write down the date on your card; it's interesting to know how long it has taken the card to get to me! And if you're an artist or almost-artist or just like to draw: I would love a small drawing of something you like. Or a poem, just a few lines. Something personal is much appreciated.
