About bluehobbit...

Hi there, my name is Julia. *waves*
After living in Hawaii for the past 13 years I've recently moved back home to Germany. It was a big change, but to me the best place to be is the home we create for ourselves, no matter where in the world it may be ☼ Now I live here with my husband and our lazy black cat Obi-Wan, always hoping for good news, snow, and all kinds of awesome cards in my mailbox to brighten the days.

I'm curious to learn more about my fellow Postcrossers and the place you call home. Tell me what you love (or hate?) about your country/hometown, or something special about it. What made you smile today? Do you have a pet or favorite animal? Or if you don't feel like writing, just draw something on the back of the card☺

Every card in my mailbox makes me happy, but these are some of my favorites:
♥ something you love: an animal, place, anything you like to share (and please tell me a little bit about it!)
♥ animal cards with the name of a country/state/place in the front
♥ animals in the snow
♥ cards showing different seasons or day & night
♥ Totoro
♥ books & libraries
♥ Nordic gnomes and Earth Spirits
♥ Antarctica and the polar regions
♥ rabbit, cat, or mushroom illustrations
♥ forests, volcanoes, glaciers & other interesting landscapes
♥ space & stars
♥ happy cards ☺

I love interesting stamps & stickers/decorations on the card too :)

I'm thankful for any card sent to me, but there are some views/themes that I don't like as much. Maybe you can save these cards for other Postcrossers who will enjoy them much more than me.
✘ buildings (if you send me a building or city card, I would love a night or winter view!)
✘ people
✘ paintings/cartoons

But no matter what, your postcard will put a smile on my face ☺
Thank you & Danke!

IMPORTANT: My local post office keeps losing/delaying cards because they can't recognize the handwritten number 7 without a line in the middle (like this: http://www.fontwerk.com/img/typografie/7_mit_querstrich.png). So if you hand-write my address, please put a line on the 7s. Thanks!
