About Elena...

Hi Postcrossers,

greetings from Lemgo, a small medieval town in northwestern Germany.
I am: housewife, proud mother and grandmother.
I like travelling to Denmark, reading (Diana Gabaldon, Stephen King, Jussi Adler Olsen, Sebastian Fitzek Marc Elsberg), movies and music (80s and David Bowie), writing and receiving postcards, collecting stamps and coins, collecting things with skulls on (pillowcases, spoons, jewelry, clothing, coffee mugs and much more), dark and weird humor, good food, spending time with friends, watching TV series and everything about history, cooking and baking, gardening on my balcony, tattoos (I have 6 and there are more to come), taking care of my orchids (I only have orchids, because i tend to kill all other indoor plants) ...
I dislike: spiders, kale, seafood and the summer heat - I prefer cool and windy weather.

If you don´t know which card to choose, these topics make me extremely happy:

- David Bowie

- touristic cards from places in Denmark, not necessarily sent from there, it can also be a card you bought during holidays and brought back home

- colourful illustrations of cats, owls and foxes (no photos, please !)

- everything spooky and weird, esp. skulls and skeletons, but also vampires, dwarves, giants, zombies, unicorns, fairies, mermaids, dragons and other fantasy creatures

- cards from Lou Paper (USA),Jetoy, Gorjuss, Santoro, Edition Gollong, Edition Tausendschön, Taurus Book Cards

- Flower fairies by Cicely Mary Barker (I have: apple blossom, acorn, blackberry, bugle, beechnut, columbine, cherry blossom, lilac, almond blossom, nasturtium, speedwell, sweet pea, cornflower, fuchsia, tulip, crab- apple, dog violet, double daisy, elderflower, trefoil, clematis, ground ivy, hawthorn, hazelnut, daffodil, horned poppy, poplar, ragwort, rose bay, rosehip, yew, zinnia, ribwort plantain, tansy, blindweed)

- reprints of old travel posters, for example from Lantern Press:

- Maxicards (cards with a stamp matching the frontside picture and a matching cancellation on it)

- World Travel series : (I have: Christmas. SI, TW)

- cards from Postcrossing meetings

- UNESCO World Heritage sites

- Keep calm and...

- movies (Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts and where to find them, Joker 2019, Tim Burton movies, Quentin Tarantino movies)

- TV series (Outlander, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Poldark, Downton Abbey, Victoria and others... )

- Halloween cards all year round, Christmas cards in November and December

Or check my favourites, the cards shown there are cards I don´t have yet, but would really like to receive. I use my favourites as a kind of wish list, so don´t be sad if I don´t mark your card as my favourite, that does not mean I don´t appreciate it.

P.S. Please date the card. Stickers and Washi tapes are welcome.
Please, no selfmade cards, no war, no religion, no old, used ones, advertising cards, cut out folded cards

Take care, stay safe from Covid19
