About Elena...

Hi Postcrossers,

greetings from Lemgo, a small medieval town in northwestern Germany.
I am: housewife, proud mother and grandmother.
I like travelling to Denmark, reading (Diana Gabaldon, Stephen King, Jussi Adler Olsen, Marc Elsberg), movies and music (80s and David Bowie), writing and receiving postcards, collecting stamps, FDCs and coins, collecting things with skulls on (pillowcases, spoons, jewelry, clothing, coffee mugs and more), dark and weird humor, good food, spending time with friends, watching TV series and everything about history, cooking and baking, gardening on my balcony, tattoos (I have 7, my avatar shows my favourite one, robot Marvin from "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Universe")...
I dislike: spiders, kale, seafood and the summer heat - I prefer cool and windy weather.

UPDATE 22/10/2020: So many cards have arrived damaged and stained these days, what a pity ! So you may also send your card written in envelope.

If you don´t know which card to choose, these topics make me extremely happy:

- Easter cards in March and April

- TV series (Outlander, Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, The Walking Dead, Poldark, Downton Abbey, Bridgerton, Stranger Things, The Umbrella Academy) and others

- funny cards, black humour

- David Bowie, Johnny Depp, Keanu Reeves

- art cards that show people in historical fashion from 16th to 19th century,

- touristic cards (new and old ones) from places in Denmark

- cards that show support for Ukraine

- US states with the name of the state on the front side (especially birds + flowers, Did you know ?, vintage large letters, maps, Lou Paper, state flags)

- paintings and drawings of cats (for example Tanya Hazova, blue cats by Irina Zeniuk, Irina Garmashova, Maria Pawlowa, Alexey Dolotov, Wieslawa Burnat, Alexander Maskaev)

- Corgi dogs

- skulls and skeletons, vampires, dwarves, giants, zombies, unicorns, fairies, mermaids, dragons and other fantasy creatures

- Lou Paper (USA)

- Edition Tausendschön, Bel Ami by Barbara Behr

- Flower fairies by Cicely Mary Barker

- reprints of old travel posters, for example by Lantern Press

- Maxicards (cards with a stamp matching the frontside picture and a matching cancellation on it)

- World Travel series :

- FOTW (Flags of the World) series

- cards from Postcrossing meetings

- Keep calm and...

- movies (Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts, Hunger Games, Twilight, Tim Burton movies, Quentin Tarantino movies, movies based on Jane Austen books) and others

Or check my favourites, the cards shown there are cards I don´t have yet. I use my favourites as a kind of wish list.
If you don´t have any of these: no problem, send a card which you would like to receive or a tourist card from your hometown.

And if you have plenty of time, check my albums with cards I already received:

Thanks for reading, have a nice day !
