My name is Christina - Maria. I'm starting to participate in this project. I came here thanks to my father and my brother who are already members of Postcrossing. I want to find real friends around the world with whom I will be able to exchange postcards, pen pals and maybe meet in the future.
I also like to write letters, so if you feel we have something in common and would like to be penpals, drop me a line. I also am looking for pen pals as well to share letters with in this crazy world! So please to not hesitate to send a note, but this is not a requirement. I would like to have postcards from EVERY COUNTRY in the world so I am open to private swaps with anybody interested.
Suggestions for postcards I like:
Local attractions and sights, landscapes or cities ("tourist" cards)
The sea, beaches, cliffs or other waterside views
- mountains (a postcard of the highest mountain in your country or region would really make my day!)
- city aerial views or skylines.
- landmarks (they do not necessarily have to be very famous landmarks of your country; I am also interested in where YOU live, no matter how small the place may be!): architecture, monuments, ...
- maps.
- anything related to the culture of the PLACES: flags, symbols, national costumes, typical dishes...
Unluckily, I CANNOT SAY THAT I LIKE:
- "funny" postcards (such as completely black ones, reading "X at night", commonplace jokes about countries, and so on).
- ad postcards.
- home-made cards.
Only send me real postcards, please, and DON'T send the card in an envelope. I like it when it's obvious that it's been "traveling". :) Also, please scan the card if you can as I have no way of doing so at the moment.
