About Becca...

Hello Postcrossers Near and Far!!!

I am so excited to be able to trade messages around the world. I love travel, because I get to meet amazing people and see new and beautiful places. My job keeps me near home now, so I hope to see more of the world through your exotic postcards.

I am a medical doctor in Texas, doing research science by day, and enjoying pen and ink drawing, knitting, reading, cooking, camping, and my cats in my spare time. I have an amazing husband to have adventures with, and lots of wacky friends.

I will be so happy to receive your postcards, no matter what they have on them! If you want guidance, here are things I especially enjoy:
- any art made by YOU (this is the absolute best!)
- something that is unique or special about where you live
- something that tells a story about you, or
- something that is simply beautiful.

I love:
* the exotic and the brightly colored
* flowers, markets, bazaars
* owls, dragonflies, highland cows
* smiling people, celebrations, dress/cultural items unique to your country
* steampunk and vintage prints
* sci-fi / fantasy themes
* the strange and outlandish!
* (I much prefer single view to multi view cards)

Don't know what to write? Here are a few suggestions, in no particular order:
* tell me about something wonderful that happened to you
* tell me something unique or interesting about you
* tell me about a connection you might have to Texas
* tell me how to say something in your language (with a translation!)
* tell me about your day, the weather
* teach me something about where you live

I LOVE STAMPS!!! Stamps of the world delight me. I've been saving cancelled stamps since I was a child, and I have my mom's old stamp collection too. When I have lived abroad, I have tried to mail and save as many kinds of foreign stamps as I could. I always try to use stamps when I mail a letter or postcard instead of letting the post service put an automated ink on the letter.

Happy Postcrossing, and I hope you get many postcards!
