About Boran...

Hello! Merhaba!:)

Yaaay! You got my address!:) I’m sending my best regards from Turkey. My name is Boran. Nice to meet you! Thank you for taking the time and effort to write me a postcard. I live in Istanbul with my mother and my cute dog, Tarçın/Cinnamon. I've graduated in int. relations and politics and dropped out of anthropology.

I love travelling, trekking, camping, hitchhiking, languages, reading books, geography, animals, nature, walking, birdwatching, tea, cake, cold, snow, rain, fog and postcards and postmarks of course😀❤️ Actually postcards help me feel socialized:D Something I don’t do very often in real life lol

I’m rather an introverted guy; INFP according to Myers-Briggs test, yet quite an affectionate person -once you get past my shyness, social awkwardness and loneliness:D-, an expert in making wrong decisions in life and a day dreamer to the core. I often catch myself desperately thinking of how I can go to Iceland, Finland, Faroes, Svalbard or Alaska.

I am quite a language freak. I am not fluent in any of them but I just love deciphering your words. So please feel free to write me in German, Portuguese, Spanish, Polish, Finnish, Hungarian, Greek, Russian (not cursive please), Georgian, Armenian, Farsi, Tajik and all Turkic languages. Without translation.

Back side of the postcard means much more for me than the front side. So, please write as much as there is literally no more place to write. I myself do the same. I appreciate that. The more you write, the happier I'll be. Thank you!:)

You have plenty of things to write about: how you feel these days, yourself, your village/town/city, your life, your dreams, your memories with your grandmas, maybe a secret of yours;) or whatever you want to share:)

I like all cards. But if you ask what I would really really love, I’d say: tourist cards representing the very city, town or village you send it from, maxicards, weird, nerdy, politically incorrect or contrarian stuff, archeological sites, anthropology, architecture, geography, churches, cemeteries, atheism, forests🌲, mountains🗻, wildlife, animals esp. insects🐞, birds🦉, salamanders, frogs (I ♡ 🐸), bats🦇, reptiles🐍, aquatic animals🦑🦐🐡, rodents🐁, hedgehogs🦔, pigs🐷, foxes🦊, primates🦍, dinosaurs🦕, roads, road signs, old maps🌍, lgbti, human rights, coat of arms, weather events, paintings, Harenberg cards and illustrations. I love cards larger than regular, Kiroileva Siili, Muumi, Krtek, Hedgehog in the Fog too. If you are into it, I'd adore seeing your drawings or doodles too.

But please don't worry if you don't have any of these. Then send me just what you would like to receive too. I become so happy for all cards.:)

I’m very interested in post cancellations or postmarks with the town’s name readable on it. So I’d be soooo grateful if you could ask for a clear hand cancellation on the stamp rather than machine one (like Briefzentrum’s), if you actually go to the post office.

Thank you very much!
Love,
Boran
