About balertwine...

Hey there, everyone!

My name is Stasia. I live in Vladivostok, Russia which for many of you folks might seem as basically a middle of nowhere. However, I do enjoy travelling and went as far as Argentina (26 hours on the plane, but it was worth it).

Anyways, I always had a soft spot for poscards (I guess I got it from my late grandmother who had a pretty neat collection), so I decided I should try this platform. However I have been absent from postcrossing for about two years due to my father's death. I was going through some depression and still struggling, but I have decided to return to doing things that make me happy, and one of them is postrcrossing.

I come from a family of dog lovers. When i was a kid, we had a Newfoundland Dog Misha. I had a lovely fluffy outbred dog Bagel for 3 years but then he decided that they serve better lunches up in heaven in 2015. He was 13 years old, diabetic and half-blind, but an absolutely adorable and very cheerful creature, though sometimes a bit naughty. My mother has a chiwuawua Pompei and used to have an American Cocker Spaniel Max and another chiwuawua Caligula, but they also left us. I was waiting for more than a year to find a suitable replacement for Bagel, and I finally got a female pup! She's also an outbred like Bagel, the shelter said she is probably a mix of Russian Laika and some low-level demon, because she is very unruly. Her name is Baklava, she does not like any other dogs, but she falls in love with every human that comes her way. She has no sympathy to collar or leash either, so every weekend we spend in the forest or on the beach where she can finally run free (up to 6 hours).

So, having said that, I would love to get postcards with dogs, but will enjoy ANY cards of your choice (including LGBT-oriented & Viggo Mortensen, not sure they exist, but I'll keep my hopes up).

Looking forward to getting my mailbox exploding!

P.S.: If it's possible, please, send the cards in envelopes. I see Russian Post Service is a bit sadistic, so some of your beautiful cards arrive rather shaken by the shipping experience.
