About Sofya...

Hi!
My name is Sofy or Son'a how we say it in Russia.
I think that real letters are amazing and much more interesting, than electronic ones. And I enjoy meeting people from different parts of the world and getting to know their culture, traditions and way of living.
A bit about me. I'm a university student here in Moscow, and I study foreign relations (India in particular). I'm too short of time to have actual hobbies, but I enjoy reading, watching series, photography and web-design. I also love horse-riding and alpine skiing. And sometimes I write stories, but, unfortunately, I often lack time or inspiration to do that =(
I like fantasy, fairy tales and stuff like that. In some point I'm really childish.

My favorite authors are: Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, George Martin and many others not that well-known.
I enjoy rock and metal (esp. heavy and symphonic), German metal and, of course, classic music (Rochmaninov, Mozart). My favorite music instruments are piano and violin.
I don't like movies, but I watch a lot of series, mostly American (Criminal Minds, Castle, etc.), but also some British (I love Agatha Christie's Poirot with David Suchet) and, surprisingly, Korean =) I used to watch a lot of anime, but not anymore.
I'm also a gamer, which seems to be unusual for a girl. I mostly play stealth-action and RPG. Games I like the most are Dishonored, Deus Ex, Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed (even though the third part makes me sick).

If you send me a postcard picturing your homeland/hometown, it'll make me really happy. But please, don't send those ugly multi-view postcards, they make my eyeballs bleed! It will be really nice, if you tell something about your country or yourself too. Or write something in your mother-tongue with translation :3
Unlike many here I enjoy hand-made cards a lot. I even don't mind good looking ad cards. But, please, it should be an actual card, not an advertising booklet (really happened)!

If you don't know what to send you can either look through my favorites or look through this list:
- paintings (realism/impressionism)
- pin-up
- landscape and citiscape photos
- people in traditional clothing
- anything connected to early modern history (XVI-XIX c.)
- animals
- funny things, grotesque, caricature
- fairy-tale and fantasy pictures

And I beg you to write at least few words on the card. It's really disappointing to receive a card with nothing but the ID and address.

!!!!!
Judy from Taiwan! You've sent me such a lovely postcard! Unfortunately, the ID you wrote is wrong and I cannot register the card, which is a pity. Could you please send me the right one!
