I was born in Galveston, Texas. Now I live in Clear Lake, where the Johnson Space Center is. I am an artist. I used to teach art at my children's school. My dream job would be to work at a museum. (I currently work at the public library, which is pretty interesting too.)
I like: surprises, learning new things, writing and receiving letters and cards, anything whimsical, reading, beach-combing, cooking, making art, costume parties, spicy food, travel, discovering new music, chocolate, hiking, pizza for breakfast, knitting, tea parties, origami, and making endless lists.
I have kept a journal for 28 years now. It is terribly boring, I'm afraid. I save all the letters and cards I receive. I keep all my postcards in old cigar boxes. Besides mail, I collect: fossils, drift seeds from the beach, fans, teapots, fortune cookie fortunes, marbles, maps (I have a terrible sense of direction and I hate getting lost.), interesting rocks, sea glass and shells, feathers, old keys, lists, buttons, and the little springs from inside writing pens.
My pets have included a turtle named Fluffy, a tarantula, an iguana, a dog, and several cats. I wish I had a superpower. I admire people who can speak more than one language. I hate wearing shoes. I wish I could play a musical instrument, but I can't even carry a tune.
I love both sides of the postcard and I will be happy with whatever you send me. I especially like self-made and art cards, and anything strange exotic or unusual. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
