About ARITREYEE...

I am Aritreyee
Yes, the one with the difficult name - even in my country 😁

I am an aspiring artist,
In love with crafts and pretty stationery.
A forever amateur photographer,
Who loves comics & psycho thrillers.
I write an occasional poem,
Or indulge in zen doodles.
I like to travel quite a bit.
And love to gorge on variety 😊

If you would like to send me a Christmas card any time of the year, i would love that very much 😊 Vintage style Christmas cards or illustration cards would be great! And I would really love Christmas stamps!!

I have been collecting stamps since I was a kid. I also collect miniature sheets. So if you have any unique stamps for the postcard you want to send, I would really love that 😊 postcrossing stamps or flower or food stamps would be great too!

I really love comics. Tintin, Asterix, Calvin & Hobbes, Peanuts, Flintstones are among my favorites 😊 A postcard with any of these characters or even a stamp with these would make my day!

I work in advertising and I am really passionate about the traditional Indian attire - the saree. You could check out #100sareepact to understand what it is all about. I am really interested in traditional attires (especially the wedding attires), festivals and dances across the world. So if you could send a postcard or use a stamp with people in traditional or festive or dance dresses specific to your country or city, I would really love that! 😊

I love vintage movie posters or vintage ad cards and colorful photos as well. I simply love beautiful doors and windows. I always click those when I travel :) I have a collection of cards with beautiful doors and windows across the world.

I am probably one among the miniscule set of people who still make cards themselves for birthdays, new year & Christmas to send to friends and family. I still write letters but it disappoints me that people now reply to letters with a few messages on WhatsApp!

I really appreciate mail art and people who write letters! So if you want to send me a letter, I will reply to it 😊

I don't have many cards from the World Travel as yet. I would love to have any of those even if they are not sent from origin.

I find the idea of postcrossing very fascinating when people who know nothing about you, put in the thought and effort to try and choose a card you might like. Amazing isn't it? 😊 But finally, I would say any card you send will make me happy. In the days of Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook when snail mail is fading, every post in the mailbox makes me very happy!

For me, postcrossing is about getting to know the stranger who so thoughtfully sent a card that they thought I would like. So please write something about yourself behind the card - maybe your family, something about your country or your city, what you love to do, your dream, your favorite quote, your favorite book or the advice you would give to your younger self?
