Hello! I'm Mathieu. I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico with my wife and our cat and puppy. In my spare time I like to garden and read books about polar exploration and shipwrecks because I am an uncle. I have also recently begun collecting stamps with a focus on Antarctica and polar exploration generally.

I'm currently a graduate student in philosophy at the University of New Mexico and also training as an archivist. I will graduate with my second Master's degree this May (2024). I am VERY happy to be so close to finishing graduate school!

If you have trouble thinking of what to write, you can tell me about your daily life! What is a typical dish in your country, region, or city? What are some interesting words in your language, or an interesting saying? What would your dream job or dream vacation be like?

I love weird or surreal things. If you have a postcard that hasn't seemed right for anyone else - maybe it's a little morbid, weird, or off-putting - I would love it! Handmade cards, strange shapes, even cards made from cardboard cereal boxes are all welcome. (Also: if you can include some stickers from fruit, I love that! I think they're really weird and interesting.) But any card you send will be welcome and enjoyed!

- Antarctica and the Southern Ocean. If you have been to Antarctica or any of the islands down there (South Georgia, the South Shetlands, Islas Malvinas/Falkland Islands, Tierra del Fuego, etc.) I would LOVE to hear about it!
