Hello!
My name is Melanie. I am 38 years old and I live in Buxtehude, Germany.

Buxtehude is known as "The Fairytale Capital" of the world. The tale of "The Hare and the Hedgehog" by the Brothers Grimm is set in this town. Maybe some of you have already heard of that story. Furthermore the name is used in numerous German tales. And thus people claim there actually does not exist a town by the name of Buxtehude. Well, but it does!

I love sitting in our little town cafés, reading books, writing letters,photography, sewing, painting, stamp carving, crocheting - actually everything craftsy - meeting friends and family, gardening, museums, art exhibits, music and so much more.

I like every kind of postcards - but it would be nice to get cards that show sights of your hometown or country. I also like painted ones, well actually every kind of postcard art. What else do I like? Vintage ones, really old ones - or anything nostalgic. For those who want to tell more than the few sentences that fit on a postcards, feel free to send me a letter, including the postcard. I am often sad that I can't read more of you. I always get so lovely postcards and I wish I would get more information about the people who send them. I will try to answer each letter that arrives here in my mailbox.
