Hello, my name is Mauro, I am 57 years old, I have been married to Marina for 33 years, we have a daughter and a son, I live in Rodengo Saiano, a small village in Franciacorta, a well-known wine area in the province of Brescia.

I like travelling and visiting new places, I love nature and photography. For my travels I prefer to use the train, it is also very nice to travel along the old railway roads with trains pulled by steam or historical locomotives.

I have visited several countries in Europe, I went as far as the North Cape with my car, I have been to Turkey, Thailand, Bali, Singapore and I hope to visit more.

I like postcrossing because it allows me to get in touch with people from all over the world and for a few minutes, travelling with my imagination, I feel like I am in the place the postcard came from.

My hobbies, apart from travelling and photography, are cinema, stamp collecting and I have always been fascinated by lighthouses with their history, capable of guiding ships into port even in the darkest, stormy nights.
