About Petra...

Hei sinä! (Hello you!)

I'm a master's student at the University of Tampere, where I study Social Anthropology now for the fifth year. I'm interested in different cultures, their beliefs, traditions, societies and their interaction. My field of study is interested in human diversity, so it is well fitted to my own interests also.

I've always loved all animals. I've worked as an volunteer foster home for cats for two years now. I work as a part of local animal protection organization PESU ry. Being a foster home is really rewarding, especially when I get to find new good forever-homes for the animals. At the moment I live with four adult cats. I've already found good homes for two adult cats and raised one litter of four. The kittens found their own homes in December 2017.

I love photography (now is my tenth year with my own SLR camera), watching movies, different series and documents of various subjects. I've always enjoyed reading, being in the nature and knitting and crocheting.

When you send me a card, I hope that you could share with me something about you or write something about your day, city, country, culture or whatever comes to your mind! You can tell me your favorite thing in your daily life or something other small detail(s). But don't stress it, at this point of my journey in postcrossing, I'll be happy for anything.

I also hope that you would choose a card that you would like to receive yourself. I also would love it if you have a chance to send me a card that is someway related to your country or your country's way of life.

If you have problems to choose or to find such a card, here is also a list of what I (among numerous other things) like:

- Animals (cats, foxes, owls, hedgehogs, squirrels, insects, fishes.. to name a few)
- Colorful cards
- Handicrafts (knitting, crochet, pottery, people making or finished products)
- Nature
- Scenery (from your country or other)
- Cartoons
- Traditional things
- Retro or vintage
- Art
- Space

Thank you for reading. Have a wonderful day!
