Hej, my name is anja, I am an art history student and homom of my beloved ginger cat max egon living in a small town in lovely switzerland. I have a weakness for cats (obviously), scandinavian (mid century) design, flowers, ceramics, artists such as agnes martin (writing my master-thesis about her), frida kahlo, marlene dumas, kazimir malevič, mireille gros, meret oppenheim - it's a never ending list, crystals, books, plants (my room is like a small indoor garden)...

Due to my intense studies and working in a museum and as an assistant in a national research project, unfortunately I don't have much time for a lot of intense hobbies. But I love reading (especially scandinavian crime thrillers, authors such as sylvia plath, françoise sagan, gertrude stein...), thrifting (probably my whole wardrobe is secondhand), writing in my journal, being in nature; collecting things I find on the floor, knitting, crocheting, stitching and especially doing my own pottery. Also I love travelling, even I can't do huge journeys at the moment. But I really want to travel through scandinavia, embrace everything there.

At the moment I am really into all those feminist theories (also due to my master thesis about agnes martin). Am I a feminist? Probably pretty sure yes. Well in general I am just trying to enjoy my life more, appreciate all the little things that make me smile and not focus on the negative things in everything. Sounds a bit "esoteric" but I really like this whole hygge, mindfulness trend.

I found this website through my sister and I think this is such a lovely and wonderful idea, kind of exploring the world through postcards - and I would love to learn / read something about you. Like a little secret, a dream, a wish, maybe a fear? Or just something you'd like to tell a stranger person.
