About Maria-Daniela...

Hello!

Finally, the time has come to return to Postcrossing! It's been a while since I last sent/received a postcard (March 2019). I decided to leave below also my old profile so that you could have an idea about my "old self". :)

Many things have happened in the last few years. I decided to shift from Germany to India to live with my partner (now husband) and gave birth (August 2022) to a boy - Ranbir Darius. Actually, he is the reason for my return to Postcrossing. He is too little to travel and see the world, so I thought he could see it through your lovely postcard. I would be really happy if you would write a postcard to Ranbir and tell him a bit about the country/place you are from. It will be a while until he will be able to read it himself, but for now, he will enjoy the colours of the postcard. :)

Thank you so much!

Much love from all of us,
Maria

---------------------------------------------------------

Hi!

My name is Maria and I'm originally from Bucharest (Romania). Currently, I'm living in Goettingen (Germany), where I’m doing my doctoral studies in the field of history (labour history, modern Indian history).

In my free time, I like playing board games and cooking with my friends. I also enjoy reading sci-fi and fantasy books, swimming, “climbing” vertical walls, geocaching and taking walks in the forest. I try to go as much as I can to music concerts and to watch old movies. I enjoy older TV series like Star Trek, Seinfeld and Friends.

Earlier I've written on my profile page what type of postcards I would like to receive... after receiving some strange-looking ones, I decided to leave it up to you what type of postcard to send me. :D

It would be great if you can write a saying, a proverb or a superstition from your country/region.

I would kindly ask you not to send me those multi-image postcards from different cities. I think the images are too small and I can't see the buildings properly. Thank you so much.

Looking forward to receiving your postcard! :)
