_________________________

I'm a tree-hugging, poetry-writing, bike-riding, mountain-hiking intersectional feminist animal rights activist. I brew kombucha, grow fruit on my porch, and eat a lot of dark chocolate. My favourite post cards are unique and quirky - picked up at a funny little secondhand shop in your town or created yourself.

I teach online on Outschool (please message me for free classes in yoga and literacy!) and teach seven- nine-year-olds in Auckland, New Zealand. If you wouldn't mind addressing your card to “Hub 9" and sharing a bit about your culture, background, and day-to-day life, and/or your favourite quote or poem, my students and I would greatly appreciate it! If you could possible tape on a ticket stub, tea bag tag), a piece of an advertisement in your country, etc., we'd love that too, but no worries if not :) Thank you! Looking forward to hearing from you.

If you're picking out a card, here's a general list of favourites, but my students and I will love whatever you send!

-maps! I love, love artsy maps
-vegan food/recipe cards
-whimsical children's book illustrations
-animal sanctuaries
-yoga
-poetry
-anything written in French or Hebrew - I love to practice my reading!
-Israeli, Jewish, Yiddish, or Maori culture/poetry/music

Specific themes:
-Artists: Brian Froud, M. C. Escher, Van Gogh, Kate Dudnik, Annet Loginova "Crayon Tales" (Russia, Belarus, Ukraine)
-Moomins (Finland)
-Harry Potter books
-Santoro (UK)
-"Animal Friend" from Pinkfoot (Korean)
-Miyazaki (especially Totoro)
-Shakespeare

I love handmade cards the best. I am more than happy to receive ad cards, if they include creative artwork and/or tell me something interesting about your culture. I usually don't really like typical touristy post cards, but of course will be grateful for anything you send.

I sell my own cards at www.etsy.com/shop/ThymeforAdventure. A portion of all of my shop's sales go to a queer-feminist-run non-profit animal rescue and advocacy centre (www.vine.bravebirds.org).
