About Amy...

Hi my name is Amy 28 & from rural Australia. I live in a region called Gippsland a few hours from Melbourne. I'm an art teacher at a primary school in the next town, where I teach 16 classes of art a week to 5-13 year olds. I love my job especially my photography classes that I teach to grade 5/6 students as an extra class to art. I live with my fiancé who is also on postcrossing and crazy about stamps.

I love to collect postcards and receive mail from all over the world. My favourite postcards are vintage/retro /shabby chic (teacups, floals, demask patterns, union jack, Cath Kidston) themed cards (especially 50's things or Anne Taintor cards) I love black and white photos and picture illustration cards (any childrens book illustrations eg; golden book, Beatrix Potter, Nancy Drew cards. I also love the Black Apple or any of those 1940-50's style illustrations of children). I love whimsical bird illustrations, especially owls or swallows as well as polka dots (red & white are my favorite). I collect "keep calm and carry on" and love all things of this era. I also collect Moonin cards as they are something I've grown up with having Finish relations.

If you are having trouble knowing what I like I have made a favourites box in my postcard wall which shows cards I have seen on Postcrossing which I really like and may help you with choosing the type of card for me. I have also added all the Moomin cards I already have to my favourites wall to help you if you are looking for one I don't have.

My favourite colours are red, green and pink I am also slowly making collections of cards in single colours. If you have any card which main colour is red, green or pink(polka dots, post/phone box, flowers, beetles etc) I would also really love them.

I prefer illustration cards or black and white retro cards to traditional 'holiday' cards, however any postcard with a tasteful design will always be welcome in my mailbox.

I like my postcards in a stamped envelope so as I (and my fiancé) can collect the stamps. If you have any used stamps that you're happy to part with I'd also appreciate them as I always looking for new stamps from across the world to add to my collection.

Whatever you send I'm sure I will be happy. I look forward to receiving your postcard, Cheers Amy

NB: If you are female around my age and would like to exchange letters I am interested in finding like minded penpals. Just pop a short letter in with your card and I'll get back to you asap :D

Nothing better than snail mail to make my mailbox happy!
