About Alexis...

Ocean educator, tour guide and step-mom here! I’m originally from Newfoundland on the East Coast of Canada, but have been living out West for 7 years now! As long as I’m near the ocean I’m happy 😊 Things I like in a postcard (or in general):

- unique views of your city (not stereotypical scenes but some thing more personal or unique, can totally be homemade if you like or just a view you personally love)
- graffiti and street art
- local art and customs
- cool mushrooms
- cool caves or geological phenomenons
- marine life and animals (huge aqua geek!)
- books
- theatres or performers
- night shots
- astronomy

I'm not the biggest fan of multiviews or ad card really, so if possible I'd avoid those. I do like having the date and weather on the card though if possible:)

I'm more interested in you, who's sending the card? Maybe write something you did today or are excited for in the future. Tell a story you love telling or even a story you've never told before. Write your favourite foods or drinks or cats or trees or inanimate objects, anything! How are you feeling today, the day you write your card? What do you want to be when you grow up (no age limit to being "grown up.") Something that is you.

Hope this helps and happy postcrossing!

P.S: very odd specific request, ignore if it does not apply to you, but have you heard of or seen the musical Come From Away? If you are somebody who has and knows what I’m talking about, please let me know and let me know what you think of this musical. I am from Gander, I was an 11-year-old child volunteer during the events of this musical, and I love hearing people stories of what they thought about it. It is very surreal having a musical about your hometown and an event that you helped out with and never knew would become so famous, so I’m interested in everyone’s perspective!
