About Alexandra...

Hey, dear friend!

It is amazing, how a small piece of paper can bring us so much fun and joy!
For me every day I come home from work my biggest joy is to open my mail-box and watching out for the newest cards I received. I experience so many heart-warming moments with all your lovely cards. Thanks to all my senders so far for all these wonderful cards!

Since my childhood I am in love with writing, all kind of paper-stuff and postcards. Long ago I had a lot of penpals around the world. A few are still left since over 40 years now, but I also started to collect and write postcards more and more over the years.
I have a huge collection of unwritten cards and I can't stop buying more because there are so many beautiful motives in this world! Looking at them makes me happy!
The idea of making you smile because of a surprising card in your mailbox is much joy for me. Moreover I think sending cards is a nice touch to make the world a little smaller & happier!

I am in my 50's and interested in so many things, but as like for most of us, the day has not enough hours to pack in all the great things we could do.
I mostly love writing postcards, looking for new paper-stuff, reading, cooking and visiting concerts or theatres. I have seen so many wonderful artists, singers and bands during the last 10-15 years and am a lucky girl now to be able again to visit concerts and I celebrate them even more after the lockdowns.
My favourites are P!NK, Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons, One Republic, Rea Garvey, Sunrise Avenue, Sarah Connor, Silbermond, just to mention a few. Plus I love German acappella-groups. Their humour is just very special and I love it!

If you are not sure what kind of postcard to send here are some suggestions:

- jelly fish (totally new topic for me after I found out that I love watching them)
- illustrated cute fantasy creatures and elves
- Illustrations from for example Elina Ellis, Katja Saario, Nina Chen, Kristiana Heinemann, Mila Marquis, Anne-Julie Aubry
- illustrated butterflies
- illustrated scenes in general
- books
- romantical scenes
- cupcakes and muffins
- beach scenes
- seashells
- by the sea
- hearts
- all about love and loving people
- with lot of purple
- cards with sayings or wisdom
- snowmen
- snowflakes
- photographs from Carl Warner
- seasonal cards (christmas, easter, valentine, halloween)
- handstamped

please look at my favourites and I will guess you will find out the style I love but all others are welcome too for sure, although I don't like the typical tourist cards very much.

You can tell me about your favourite book as I am always looking for good new reading stuff. Let me know a bit about yourself.

Happy postcrossing,
Alexandra
