About K...

Hello! 안녕하세요!

ABOUT ME:

I live with my husband in Korea, where I teach at a university. I also do some freelance work and dog-walking. In my free time I dabble with many things--hanging out with my two cats, biking, hiking, photography, swimming, drawing, reading, writing, and similar things. I'm not particularly interesting.

I would really like to meet new people and make new friends. If you are the sort of person who enjoys watching ducks and walking over stones in a stream, then we have a lot in common and will probably probably be terrific friends.

My husband and I are in the process of making a new human. She should be here the first week of June 2019. If you've any advice/traditions to share about new babies, I'd be more than happy to hear it!

ABOUT POSTCARDS:

☆☆☆The message matters more than the image.☆☆☆

Please don't send oversized postcards. They get destroyed in my mailbox, and that makes me sad.

Please write a message, or draw a picture. If you can, tell me a weird fact that you know (For example: Squirrels can rotate their ankles 180 degrees). Please tell me what gives you hope. Tell me a secret. Tell me anything. Ask me a question that I can answer in my thank-you message.

Please, if you write to me in French or German, keep it very simple. It has been years since I studied either language, but I would like to try to improve my reading ability in both.

I like postcards of:

- irises
- rainbows
- mostly one color (I am building a rainbow wall)
- art, especially art by currently working/local artists
- people with interesting expressions
- photos or drawings of all kinds animals, but especially sheep, ducks, pigs, and lunar (Chinese) zodiac animals
- botanical things (plants, trees, and drawings of them)

That said, send what makes you happy.

Tourist postcards are OK, but if you can send something else, I'd prefer it. My hope is to visit all the sites and see them with my own eyes, so I won't need postcards of them.

Thank you so much! Peace!
