I love postcards! I love them so much, I started sending them to myself whenever I travel. When I discovered postcrossing, I was elated! I'm happy I can get postcards from around the world from OTHER people! : )
I would prefer getting postcards that are written on and stamped rather than in an envelope--I love to go back and see the stamps, message, and postmarks.
I appreciate and love all postcards, but if you want ideas of my favorites, I especially like the following:
Animal postcards (dogs, particularly pugs, pigs, and cows are my favorite, though I love ALL animals)
Vegan/Vegetarian related PCs
Chinese New Year
Mass Transit/Subway map cards
Lantern Press postcards
Art and Photography
Museums (PCs with photos of the actual museum building)
Funny roadside attractions
Some of my favorite artists are Modigliani, O'Keeffe, Picasso, Chagall, Jacob Lawrence, Cindy Sherman, Barbara Kruger, Mark Rothko. I like the early 20th Century artists a lot.
Special Requests: The Little Prince postcards, Golden Driller (Tulsa Oil Man), Baltimore Domino's Sugar sign, Tate Museum exterior, London Eye, Merilion Park (Singapore), Great Wall (China), Nelson Atkins Museum of Art exterior (Kansas City, MO), Tuk Tuk, First Dogs - Bo & Sunny
Please no envelopes or perforated postcards!
In addition, I would hope not to receive cards depicting hunting, hunters, dead animals, animal races, fishing, bull fighting, etc.
Please, please do not send folded note cards as I do not collect them and don't want them to go to waste.
An animal lover, I have two dogs, and I am vegan. I love making jewelry, photography, and knitting. I collect pig and pug memorabilia, as well as snow globes and beads of all kinds.
