As the only Postcrosser in Congo, I simply CANNOT do direct swaps. The post here is expensive and unreliable, so many cards do not arrive and great patience is needed; (sadly, cards to China and Russia are often lost). To avoid so many missing cards I may arrange to send your card from a different place, or in an envelope to ensure it is delivered. If your card has not been entered after 12 weeks please email me the number to enter it.
Wherever we are, we can be travelers in spirit. I have lived on four continents and exchanged over 1,700 postcards so far, and I love the journey! I received my very first Postcrossing card in 2010 from Lithuania, and since then I've been hooked.
Postcards are small works of art that allow us to imagine undiscovered places. I am privileged to have visited about 90 countries so far and am always amazed by the kindness of those I meet along the way.
I enjoy nature, poetry, watching the changing sky, being close to water, seeing birds and walking in forests and parks. I most like cards showing natural scenes, such as:
- natural landscapes, islands, forests or mountains;
- wild birds,
- waterfalls, rivers, streams
- maps, or the age of exploration
- national parks and World Heritage sites,
- Sunsets, the moon, stars, horizons, or sky images,
- Lord of the Rings, Merlin, Hobbit, legends, or medieval art scenes.
*Also as a philatelist I REALLY appreciate if you can several colorful stamps on the card. Take a look at my postcard blog if you're curious: www.africapostcards.blogspot.com or on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Africa-Stamps-203724179701489/
