About Adrienne...

Hi! My name is Adrienne. I live in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. I like to cook vegetarian (vegan) food, hike in the woods, write letters, ride my bike, watch birds, bake cakes, host parties, and study programming languages.

Thank you for sending me a card! I am looking forward to hearing about your day. Did you work, study, rest, or play? Did you listen to any music or read a book? Do you have a word or phrase that guides you? In Postcrossing, what makes you truly happier: sending or receiving cards?

Here are some themes I love:

Birds: crows, ravens, grackles, magpie, jackdaw, all black birds.
Bats (the flying mammal)
ALL spiders!!
ALL insects!!
ALL birds!!
Lemur and lemurs
Eels (Anguilliformes)
Rats and mice
ALL rodents - squirrels, chipmunks, hedgehogs
Red squirrel photos
Black squirrel photos (Canada?)
Dragons, witches, magical, spirits
Halloween, pumpkins, jack-o-lantern (all year)
Moon, stars, space
Mail and Postal related
Christmas postcards at Christmas-time
Maxi-cards related to these themes.

As you can see, I love animals! Especially animals that are commonly feared or misunderstood. Fear often comes from misunderstanding. Please know: these animals mean you no harm! They might be weird looking, but they are probably more afraid of you than you are afraid of them. :)

I also appreciate:

♥ stickers
♥ decoration
♥ colorful writing
♥ "Priority" or airmail sticker
♥ unique stamps
♥ a kind message
♥ postmark

These are absolutely not demands, just things that make me smile. :)

Mail art / postal art / correspondence art is ok!
Hand-made is ok!
Envelopes are ok!

я буду рада получить открытки из России с переводом!

Japanese friends. I recently received a bat card by Ichiyusai KUNIYOSHI (1797-1861).
It is one of my all-time most favorite cards.

Expired cards: it is disappointing to send a card that expires. I have sent cards that never arrived and people have sent me cards that never arrived. But I try to remember that we are sending small pieces of paper across vast distances, and sometimes they get lost. I don't list expired cards with a Postcrossing member's username on my profile because I would not want anyone to think I am upset with the user for the card not arriving.

♥ Wishing you peace and happiness! ♥
Turkish: Barış ve mutluluklar diliyorum!

Please teach me your phrase and I will add it to my profile. ♥ Happy Postcrossing!
