I have just started collecting postcards. I have a eight year old son who is starting to learn about geography so I thought this would be a fun hobby for us to do together.

I love reading (and I collect quotes from my favorite authors). I will read anything -- fiction, non-fiction, self help, romance, the back of cereal boxes! Over the years, my father has sent me magazines from the late 19th and early 20th century. I love reading the ads and articles!

Classic movies (Casablanca, To Kill A Mockingbird, etc.) are my favorite and I enjoy listening to folk / country rock music (The Indigo Girls, Simon & Garfunkel, The Eagles, etc.)

My favorite artists: Picasso, Van Gogh, Monet
My favorite colors: blue / green
My family animals: any baby animal, sea life

I live in Simi Valley, California. It is a small valley just next to the San Fernando Valley, about an hour northwest of Los Angeles. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is located here but otherwise it is a bedroom community with lots of strip malls and hiking trails.

As for my son, he LOVES legos, science, and animals. When he grows up, he either wants to become a master builder for Lego or be the first astronaut who lands on Pluto.
