About Lidia...

Dear friends,
We are a family of 5, with one grown up daughter who lives now far away, and two teens, who all too soon will be flying out of the nest as well. Our home is almost like a science senter and we collect cards and materials connected to that. Please send us cards which have to do with science (physics, chemistry, biology, math...), if it is possible :). Here are some suggestions:

- science
- experiments and laboratory work
- scientists and lab workers
- space rockets and airplanes
- space theme, astronomy
- electricity, mechanics, optics (etc., etc...)
- chemistry
- science materials, everything connected to scientific research (lab tools, microscopes, telescopes, measuring and other instruments, cards with science formulas, chemistry stuff...)
- science museum objects of all sorts
- cards from science museums all over the world, not necessarily your country
- fun with science (crazy professors, scientific jokes etc.)
- optic illusions
- books, libraries, bookshelves, any artistic depiction of books...
- 3D, metal, wooden, knitted cards, cards made out of unusual materials...

I work at a Department of Health Science at a University and would appreaciate cards connected to health, medicine, Medical science, dentistry, bioingeneering, physiotherapy, pharmacy and so on.

Please no tourist cards if possible :)

Be creative though. It's amazing how much stuff is actually scientific if you look closer ;) We hope you like this challenge :)

Thank you!

Lidia and the rest of the "Newton" family :))

P.S. If you feel stuck...

Look at the cards we have already got. Each and every one of them is scientific. Everything around you is science. Animals is biology. Buildings is architecture which is based upon Math. Food is chemistry. National costumes is ethnography. Mountains and maps is geography. EVERYTHING AROUND YOU IS SCIENCE. Maybe you can then explain how you see your card as related to science, if you want, of course :)

The only thing we do not like is the regular tourist cards. They don't tell us much. We will probably never get to that place anyway, traveling is not the cheapest hobby these days. And the statues of unknown people or streets of a town I have never been in really do not give much joy. Sorry about that.

Moreover, the whole fun of postcrossing is when you try to put a smile on the addresse's face. That is why we try to find a perfect card for you. Always a new card, always going an extra mile for you to be happy. For us, it is almost more fun to send than to get a card ourselves. Please try to do the same, for others, not necessarily us. Go the extra mile, bring a smile on the other person's face, try to make this person happy. And the world will become a much better place.

Oh, and check this site out. Maybe you also can send a card to a child who is very ill, and brighten his or her day up?
