Hello lovely person!

I am Mirka, a girl from Slovakia living and studying in Copenhagen (Denmark). Being a foreigner and not being able to speak the local language has its ups and downs. However, I am super grateful for the ride as I am getting to know many more different cultures and religions than would be possible in my homeland.

Besides studies and a part-time job, I enjoy painting, photography and visiting my favourite cosy boardgame café. Thrifting, volunteering, cooking, and reading books are also very close to my heart. I am a romantic soul who loves to hear other people's love stories, as well as stories of "how the world used to be" of my grandmother.

Postcrossing, for me, is about bringing a moment of joy into each other's lives by sending a “gift” to their mailboxes. As it always brightens my day, I appreciate every card I get. <3
