About Mona...

Dear Postcrossing-Community,

My name is Mona, I'm living in the south of Austria, close to Italy and Slovenia. I'm working as a guide in the local museum of my hometown. My boyfriend and me like to go hiking and visit museums, galleries, or the theatre. I'm also working as an creativ trainer for adults, we are doing lot's mix media projects. But my favorits at the moment are just doodling around in my journal, or work with aquarell and simple drawings.

I'm very much excited about that platform, because I love to get handwritten mail. Altough I'm not the classy touristcard type, I collect special, unusual postcards, for example:

Landscape, nature, garden, sky/galaxy
Mystical, fairys, fantasy
Interesting architecture, old, odd, strange, mysterious buildings/details (wall, stairs...)
Random people,
Cartoons, drawings, doodles
Paintings (medieval up to modern)
Teaparty, porcelain, pottery
Food, cooking, bakery, herbs
Old botanical drawings

You could make me especially happy with a handmade or decorated card - I try to do that myself and am always interested in new techniques, or getting Inspiration.

As I already mentioned, I'm not the classy multiview/holiday card type and altough I love my cat a lot, I'm not that much into puppies or Anne Geddes. Also the "Keep calm..." is not really my thingy.

But of course I will appreciate every card, and you never know if sth turnes out to be pretty cool ;-)

I'll be very happy if you write more than just greetings: I'd love to get a little glance of you/your country. Which cliche of your country is annoying you, or fits perfectly perhaps. Are there any unique, local habits I devinitely need to know about? Or a special recipe, I need to cook.
I also love poetry a lot, maybe you write me a line of a traditional poem (or song) with translation - or there is a genius local author I need to read sth from?
Or maybe you like to tell me sth about yourself - your daily routine, sth you heard/read recently, your first kiss, a funny fact about you, or a big secret from your childhood.

Altough I love to get surprised by postcards from all over the world, I would be interested in pen pal(s) to - so please feel free to write more than "just" a card if you like.

Happy postcrossing to all, I look forward to read from you!
