About Santa...

Hey there! ;)

My name is Santa (yes, that's my real name and it's quite common women's name in my country :)). I live in Valmiera, Latvia.

I like art, theatre, literature, philosophy, mythology, nature, cooking, traveling and exploring world through people. I enjoy taking long walks in places I've never been before. And in places I've been before, too :) Sometimes I like to pretend to myself that I see the place for the first time. That way you can look differently on same old things and have a fresh view, and maybe discover something new for yourself. That's fun :)

I love cats. Unfortunately I don't have cats of my own, because I can't have them where I live now, but I'm a godmother to two cats of my sister. They're called Tors (Thor) and Freija (Freya). I visit them very often. They're very smart and funny creatures :)

I'm a huge fan of board games. Usually I play them with my brother's family when they come around. They've got a large collection of different board games and they usually show and teach me new ones. When there's no one around to play with, I play them online. Lately my favorite ones are Seasons, Marco Polo (both parts), Village, Small World and, of course, good, old Catan :) I also enjoy all kinds of escape rooms (both in real life and in game versions).

I like learning languages. I'd love to understand all the languages in the world (still existing and all that have ever been). That would be my superpower if I could choose :D What would be yours?
That's why I'd be happy if you wrote something in your native language on postcard (with translation if possible :D) And if you're from Finland or Estonia, I wouldn't mind all the text in your language. Because right now I'm willing to refresh my Finnish (learned it in highschool but haven't used for 10 years) and to learn Estonian.

I recently started to learn writing Russian cursive (by myself, from internet examples) to write Russian addresses properly and make it easier for postal workers. I understand Russian and can read printed letters very well, but never could write or understand handwritting. Now I'm gonna change that :) So I really wouldn't mind if you wrote me in Russian. I'd like to see the real handwritting and to train myself to read it. It would really help, I think :)

If you don't know what to send, I'd love postcards with:
* nature,
* beautiful landscapes from your country,
* your culture,
* mythology,
* art (Van Gogh, Dali, Leonid Afremov are some of my favorite),
* cats .
Or:
* something dreamy,
* outer space, sky,
* fantasy world,
* black and white photography,
* something inspiring.
But any other will be great as well :)

Wish you a wonderful day! :)

Happy postcrossing!
