Hi and welcome to my profile! :)
My name is Mariëlle and I'm 33 years old and I live in Goes and also partly in Amsterdam, where my boyfriend lives.
I'm a postcrosser for 7 years now, and I still get excited when I find a card for me on the doormat! I love the positivity of Postcrossing and the idea of being connected to someone somewhere else in the world through a postcard! I especially like it that people take time to pick out a card for someone, write a nice message and go to the mailbox to send the card to someone they have (usually) never met.
Well, since you're reading this, you might be about to send a card to me, and you may be wondering what kind of card to choose for me. Well, I like postcards, but also "folded" or "double cards". And if you're creative I'm also happy to receive a card you made yourself. :) (And feel free to use an envelope to protect the card during its journey.)
There are many themes I like, so any card you like yourself is probably good (and maybe you can broaden my horizon), but if you're unsure of what to send me, you can't really go wrong with these themes:
- wind fans
- good luck charms/symbols
- guitars (especially classical/Spanish/accoustic)
- tap dance
- Inge Löök, Anton Pieck, Jetses, Jean-Baptiste Monge, Judy Mastrangelo, Mingface
- fairy tales/fairies/mythology/fantasy
- Limoon, Lali, Blue Art, Gorjuss/Santoro, Correspondances
- touristic cards showing your country/something related to your country (especially if I haven't received many cards from your country yet)
- water lillies
- cute animals (especially (little black) dogs, (mackerel tabby) cats, owls and monkeys)
- beautiful nature/wildlife/photography (like the pictures from National Geographic)
- a card of your choice
Of course you can also look at my favourite cards to get an impression of the cards I like, but please note that I have received some of those already. If you would like to see all my received cards please go here: http://picasaweb.google.com/107902794788566761291
If, after reading all of this, you wonder what kind of things I like in general, here are a few that come to mind now: Books, our "Minibieb" (a Little Free Library) in our front garden, chocolate, relaxing with a nice cup of tea, bananas, the sun coming out when I am about to go for a walk with our dog Basje (a Markiesje, a Dutch breed), playing and cuddling with Basje or our cat Molly, playing the guitar, music, musicals, 2Cellos, planning a vacation or thinking back of past holidays, taking a bath, nail art, mail art, penpalling, baking, cooking (especially vegetarian), a cup of hot chocolate on a cold day, and last but certainly not least, spending time with my boyfriend, friends and family (and probably more that I can't think of right now ;) ).
Thanks for reading and happy Postcrossing!
