I'm working as senior engineer and writing my PhD thesis in Electronics in academic/industry city, Moscow's exclave. I married a Dutchman, he moved here, we have a small son.
Postcards for me are 'handshakes through thousands miles', I'm interested in people and their every day life maybe more than in postcards. I love surprises and weird, quirky, and ugly cards, stamps, and decoration, THE WEIRDER THE BETTER! And write me something please!
When I choose a card I always start with last pages of favourites wall - maybe I have that one old postcard, which is not issued anymore the receiver liked many years ago.
You don't need my approval of liking your card, better send me something you absolutely hate and want to get rid of [and write on the back - I HOPE YOU'LL HATE THIS CARD].
Important questions to answer: (1) Which superpower you'd like to have? (2) What would you do if you were a cat?
[if no mood for writing - stick your favorite teabag or any paper or ticket to the backside, use it for notes for a day or shopping list]
*Favorite rare themes* (in postcards and stamps):
☄Women-scientists (I collected all '50 Women in Science' mainly thanks to the amazing postcrossing forum user(s), and I have Reiche, Jemison, Lovelace, L.Bai from 'Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls', but never mind repeats of the ones you admire most)
☄Icebreakers, Northern fleet, Arctica, Antarctica
☄Anthropology, prehistoric humans, paleolithic art
☄Industrial - Nuclear power plants, Power stations, Oil and heavy industry
☄Men in uniform (incl. firefighters) and naked
☄Postcards from any museums
☄Any Art Unlimited postcard
☄Any Terry Pratchett
☄unusual materials and nice-to-touch things (like postcard material, embossed stamps etc.)
More about me and postcards in my blog ^___^, so: https://blogxute.blogspot.com/p/about-me-and-my-preferences.html
My received cards and swap albums are linked there too, but I don't mind duplicates. I keep favorites here as a wishlist, so I remove cards when receiving exact ones.
⚠️Please, regard that I post the pictures of remarkable postcards in my blog, and sometimes stamps and decoration of the backside while all personal data is blurred. I try to treat everyone's privacy with great care, but if I made a mistake, please tell me
_Ik spreek een beetje Nederlands ^^ [je kunt woorden op een kaart schrijven]. Mijn zoon is dol op Nina, Nijntjes, en Dikkie Dik.
_Dear Finnish postcrossers, you can make my day with funny vegetable or signs of the sky with eyes stamps (or outdoor toilets!).
_Some words in your language would be a challenge for my linguistic skills :D I'd be able to read and understand right away simple texts in German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian and any Slavic language, српски, українська и беларуская мова.
If you read this far, you're certainly a caring person, so probably any postcard from you will be chosen with love
