My name is Maureen. I am a recently turned 53 year old mom to three kids who keep me very busy. I started Postcrossing with an account for my boys many years ago when they were younger as a way for them to learn about geography, other cultures and the joy of getting their own mail in our mailbox. When they got to be teenagers they discovered other interests and I decided to make my own account.

I love traveling, audiobooks and jigsaw puzzles. I've been to 20 states and 11 countries. I love the excitement of discovering new places. Mysteries & thrillers are what I have fallen in love with after just delving into the genre a couple years ago. I love photography, both taking pictures and looking at others. I have an obsession for chocolate.

I'm happy to receive any and all postcards. Really I am. Whatever you'd like to send be assured I will like it. But having done this a few years with the kids I know that sometimes it's easier if there's a list of interests. In no particular order mine include...

For Sept/Oct of 2023...I would really LOVE to have World Postcard Day cards. While I love the official Postcrossing design, i am really looking for other cards created for WPD. I have seen so many beautiful, creative designs online please send me one if you have.

I always like to see the date when you've written your postcard to me but also put the time of day when you write them. I am a nightowl so often it is very late at night when I write out my postcards. I think it'll be interesting to see when other write theirs.
