I'm Victoria, and I enjoy history, literature, art, theatre and have a fondness for white lilies. I share my home with my young, blind black cat, Marlowe, who is adorable! We live in glorious East Yorkshire in the UK. I have a PhD in social and cultural history and am now looking for the academic job that will start my career. I am also interested in animals and nature, issues of equality, current affairs, rugby league and I am a cake and hot chocolate aficionado.

PS: All postcards I receive get hung on a "washing line" in my kitchen so I can look at them every day and smile.
