About Tony...

I am Scottish and I am a teacher. I had to stop doing supply teaching early in 2020 owing to the pandemic but when I got a chance I did four days of supply in May 2021. I thought Covid had probably finished my teaching career but in August 2022 I was able to get back into the swing of things and I am doing three days a week at the moment 😄 I understand French and I like reading Dutch but my favourite foreign language is German. I enjoy all kinds of music and like going to the cinema. Other hobbies include photography, reading, walking, swimming and wildlife. I enjoy travelling and I regularly visit Berlin and Izmir to stay with friends. I love wild orchids which grow in Scotland and Continental Europe as well as in Turkey.
Please use an envelope, if it's convenient, because a number of postcards arrive with damage caused by the post office machinery. My (far too many) favourites are a mixture of received and wished-for postcards.
I also appreciate special stamps and always try to use interesting stamps myself.
One small request: I collect the jokers from packs of cards and if you happen to have any spares lying about I would really appreciate receiving one along with the card. I would also send a joker if you like them too. One last thing, I think I must be the only person on Postcrossing who isn't really mad about Audrey Hepburn (only saying...) finally, my most enduring Postcrossing friendships (in NL, DE, AT, CA, GB and RU) are with people who hadn't selected the "interested in direct swaps" option 🤔😅
