About Veriladaine...

1-26-21:
I'm a bookworm who cross stitches and dreams of traveling to everywhere. So I work at a theme park to finance it, and I'm here to fill in the gaps and find the hidden gems.

3-15-21:
Now that I'm getting the hang of this I have a better idea of what to say here. I'll be perfectly honest - I'm here for the travel postcards. The "wish you here," "greetings from place" cards you get at every tacky touristy shop ever opened. Famous local landmarks, museum exhibits, natural wonders, local traditional costumes and food . . . basically the sort of thing you would send home or to a friend if you were vacationing where you are. It doesn't have to be kitschy, but that's definitely a bonus. I didn't even realize there were any other kind of card (well, except maybe those appointment reminder cards from your dentist, lol) until I started seeing what people here are sending. That's what I was expecting, and that's what I'm always hoping for. BUT - if that's not what's in your current supply stash, please don't feel like you have to go out and make a special purchase just for my card. Whatever you have, whatever you send, I will genuinely appreciate.
*With that being said, spiders and other creepy crawlies, horror/gore, military themes, and erotica will be *better* appreciated by others who are in to those things.

As far as what to write, I'll take all the gel pen art, stickers, glitter, extra stamps, haikus, postcard-length microfiction and anything else you want to send and I'll feel privileged to receive it. But if all you have the spoons for (google: spoon theory) when my name gets drawn out of the hat is a simple "happy postcrossing" and your country's equivalent of a forever stamp I will be just as happy to receive your card. Either way, I can't wait to open my mailbox and see it there waiting for me.

If you don't have any tourist-y cards I've spent the year building up my favorites page with non-travel cards I love. Use it as inspiration to surprise me! :-)
