Hello, lovely person and thanks for looking at my profile! :-)

Any kind of card is fine, but some of my favourites would be:

★tourist postcards showing beautiful places, landscapes, sights or traditions from your town/country, folklore, old black and white images of your town, historic places, maps/subway maps, castles, national parks. Illustrations from your country's old folk tales. Please, ONLY cards from your own country - no Paris cards from Russia etc. I want to see what YOUR country looks like, not what your last holiday destination looked like. Multi-views are OK, too!

★wild animals native to your country. I am passionate about wolves and their conservation.

★football (=soccer): for example, picture of your local team, a stadium, one of the players or club crest. And it doesn't have to be a famous club - it can be a small club playing in lower divisions of your country! Women's soccer is fine, too!

★history (esp. industrial revolution, civil rights struggle in the US, DDR, Czechoslovakia, US Civil War, Easter Rising, old maps)

★propaganda posters / WWI and WWII posters

★Garfield (cartoon, not movie), Nemi, Jetoy-cats, Krtek, Sandmännchen, Mis Uszatek, Peanuts, Moomin, Donald Duck, Doraemon, Paddington Bear, Pingu, Barbapapa

★Irina Zeniuk's cats

★The Nightmare Before Christmas

★something gothic, cemeteries, skeletons, rain

★cats (especially ginger coloured cats!)

★heavy metal bands

I prefer my cards written and stamped with colourful stamps (even though I do not collect stamps)

But in short - I WILL LOVE EACH AND EVERY CARD I RECEIVE! No ad-cards, free cards, self-made or erotic cards though... And I am NOT a big fan of pin-up girls, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis or Audrey Hepburn.

The cards on my favourites are kind of cards that I like. I won't add any received cards there, because I don't want to put them in order of preference, all of them are precious in their own way.

Apart from postcrossing, my hobbies are reading, going to gigs (rock/metal. My favourite bands: The 69 Eyes, HIM, Dimmu Borgir, Sonata Arctica, Apocalyptica, Amorphis, Finntroll, Beast in Black), cycling, swimming, knitting (my latest project http://tinypic.com/r/205tua9/8) and geocaching. I suffer from depression and social anxiety disorder, so postcrossing is great way for me to get to 'talk to' new people. I love travelling (my fav. destinations: Ireland and Japan) and cats. And I lived 12yrs in The UK.
