Hi there,
my name is Manuela or Manu, I'm 28 and I'm originally from Luxembourg. I moved to Germany when I was 20 to go to university. It took some time but I finally got my degree in french and spanish philology.

In my free time I love reading books especially fantasy stories. Elves, dwarves and humans fighting orcs and other evil creatures? Just love it :)
But I also enjoy reading Hermann Hesse or Kafka for example or the books of Paul Watzlawick, an austrian-american philosopher. If you don´t know them you should definitely check them out.
I enjoy listening to music too. My favourite genre is "grunge". I started listening to Nirvana when I was 12 and by doing so I got to know other bands like Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam and 16 years later I still love their music.

One of my biggest dreams is to travel the world but unfortunately at the moment I can´t travel as much as I´d love to. I guess that´s why I signed up on postcrossing... to get in touch with people from all around the world and to get to know their culture.
I always loved receiving postcards. I have a wall where I put them up and I´d love to add more cards to it.
So if you get my address to send me one: I´d love to get postcards with pictures of landscapes or interesting sights of your hometown but I enjoy other cards too. Just send me something you think could be interesting or funny and whatnot...
Concerning your message... write anything that comes to your mind. Name your favourite band or favourite book (as I´m interested in both music and books it could be a good way to get to know something new). Quote a line from your favourite song or write down your favourite recipe - I like cooking and especially eating good food too :)

If you want to be pen pals, please, feel free to write me a message :) I already have a few but I'd love to have some more, from all around the world. But I'd especially love some french or spanish speaking pen pals in order to keep practicing :)
