I was born in the western urban area of the Netherlands, but after my marriage in 1984 I moved to a less densely populated area in the east. In 2013 my husband and I moved to a very small village in a rural area, where I very much feel at home.
I have 3 adult daughters (1986, 1988, 1989), 3 grandsons (2012, 2018, 2019) and 2 granddaughters (2019, 2023)
I am trained as a professional visual artist and find my inspiration in nature and animals, but I also like to knit all kind of things and I like to recycle and re-use all kind of materials to create new things for home decoration, clothes or toys. My grandchildren often still wear the clothes I once made for their mothers. I like reading, writing, photography and working in my garden. I am fond of my big white cat Maurits and my little cat Milouska, which was adopted from Romania.

I collect stamps from all countries of the world. Looking for a way to receive new stamps in a time when everyone uses email, I found Postcrossing. But instead of taking the stamps off the cards I keep the cards as complete as I receive them and now collect them as well.

I will be happy with every postcard that I receive, but I prefer cards that show something about the country, the town or the area you live in. And please tell me something about yourself.
