When I first heard about Postcrossing my thought was "Why didn't I find out about this earlier?" I'm addicted!
Hello, I'm Donna, an over-50 country woman who lives with The Farmer, my 88 year old mother, many farm animals, and a rescue cat on a farm on the hot dry plains of Colorado. If you receive a card with cat hair on it, I apologize. Sometimes it happens. I have 5 grandchildren. My life is very ordinary and I enjoy it.
What kind of postcard would I like to receive? Surprise me! Or perhaps browse through My Favorites for ideas. I've recently fallen in love with the Blue Cats with Toilet Tissue cards. I'd love to receive one or trade for one! Any Blue Cat cards are at the top of my list now. Illustrated cats and farm animals also make me smile. COVID related cards would be awesome! Whatever you choose, know that I will enjoy it when it arrives. ...Unless you choose a postcard with a plateful of fish --- I'm not crazy about those!
I love the message side of the card, so tell me about your life! If you're unsure what to write, tell me about your local newspaper headlines, what you're doing this week, what book you're reading, what you’re eating, why you picked the postcard, what you see from your window or anything. I love it when you draw me a sketch, because I am not talented enough to do the same. Cartoon and animal postage stamps are awesome!
I collect cards from these series:
