Hello around the world,

My name is Thomas and I'm living with my family in a small town near Würzburg. It is situated in Northern Bavaria, in the middle of Germany.
My daughter is 20 and studies European Politics and History in an university 200 kilometers (160 miles) away from here.
My son is 18 and he is in secondary school.

I'm working at the Deutsche Telekom. It's the largest telecommunication company in Germany. One of my tasks is to teach our personnel in Microsoft software.
My hobbies are sports (running (24 marathons until now), biking), reading (Science Fiction, Fantasy but also funny books like Terry Pratchett etc.), music (the good old 80th (Alan Parsons Project, Pink Floyd...) and travelling.

When I heard about postcrossing I was fascinated at once.
I think it's great to get in contact with people all around the world.
And perhaps it helps a little bit, that people understand each other better.

IT'S UNUSUAL, BUT I WOULD LOVE TO GET A DRINK COASTER/DRINK MAT INSTEAD OF A POSTCARD. I STARTED TO COLLECT THEM AND I WOULD BE VERY PLEASED ABOUT IT. YOU CAN SEND IT IN AN ENVELOPE OR JUST PUT A STAMP AND THE ADDRESS ON IT. DON'T BE AFRAID I WOULD REALLY LOVE IT.

People from ASIA: I love those white cards with a red border and a red picture and Chinese characters of something typical from your culture.
