Hello!

My name is Kate. I live in the capital of Ukraine Kyiv - a very ancient, beautiful and huge city. We had a difficult political situation in Ukraine since the end of the autumn 2013 but I do really hope that it'll be ok soon and thanks for supporting our fight for democracy, dear world!

In 2014 I graduated from university where I've been studying journalism. Now I work in online-media and write about cultural and media topics.

Talking about my hobbies...I like literature (classical and modern), rock music, travelling, watching good movies, cooking.

In October 2015 I started a blog http://what-are-u-reading.blogspot.com. The idea is to ask strangers with books in their hands what they are reading right now and what are their impressions. Sometimes I translate the answers into English too and be really glad to have new readers from all over the world.

I'm in postcrossing around 5 years now and I consider it the perfect hobby.

I'm interesting in any postcards. But here I wrote some ideas for you about what card you may choose:

- books, portraits of famous authors or personages, libraries, bookshops
- bicycles, trams, ships and boats
- houses and their elements - doors, windows, roofs etc (photo and paintings)
- journalism
- The Beatles and all dealing with them, 60s
- art. My favorite period/style is impressionism
- nature. flowers, landscapes, animals, sea.
- seasonal cards
- British and French cultures
- retro, impressive black&white photos
- famous people from your country

Or simply send me postcard with smth inspiring. Maybe just your homecity. I'll be glad to read about you, your lifestyle...Or what book are you reading now...Your thoughts or dreams...Whatever :)
