About Sylvain...

My name is Sylvain. I am a retired professor . I had two children. (43 and 41) and I have 5 small children (four boys : Valentin, Clément, Gabriel, Aubin and a girl : Alix).
I love to travel and bring postcards of the countries I visit. I have been in most European countries (Spain, Germany, Italy, Sardinia, Sicily, Portugal, Switzerland, Poland, Romania, Greece, Wales, Ireland, England...). But I also know Kenya, Morocco, Turkey, Egypt, India (Laddack, Rajasthan) Peru, Bolivia, Madagascar, New Caldonie, Vietnam, Népal, Cape Verde, Montenegro, Lanzarote ...
Also like listening to music (Rolling Stones, Coldplay, Madonna .... I love to sing in a group and I am part of a vocal group (Gens du Pays) or more than 45 years.(https://gensdupays.wixsite.com/chorale) I like also mountain biking in the countryside.
I am also part of a hiking club (Vichy Rando : https://vichyrando.org/). We do several hikes a week in our region which is a hiker's paradise; We draw our own circuits or we use already marked paths.
I also do a lot of videos movies from my travels or my grandchildren. I make videos.
I live in a small village (Saint-Yorre in 2850 inhabitants) famous for the production of sparkling mineral water for athletes. This small village is located on the Allier River and near the spa town of Vichy in central France and near to the Auvergne volcanoes.
I collect postcards from my childhood. I have over 40,000. I like to buy when I travel or receive through Postcrossing. I especially like the aerial views of cities or villages. If this is not indicated on the postcard, please write to me from where, what city or region does the postcard come from.
I love opening my mailbox in the morning and find a card that comes from the other side of the world ...
