About Melissa...

Hello! My name is Melissa. I live in a suburb of Kansas City, MO and have lived here all my life. I have a son - Dylan - and two crazy dogs - Zero Monster & Luna Bear. I love to travel all over the world. I have been to China, London, France, Canada, Mexico and many of the US States.

I absolutely love art! Art journals, painting, melted crayon art, mixed media to name a few. I also like to do anything crafty, DIY, scrapbooking and crocheting. I taught myself how to knit and am now learning how to dye yarn. So much fun!

Zero Monster & Luna Bear are Siberian Huskies and we love to go urban mushing since we only get snow a few months out of the year. We absolutely love it. I have a scooter that they pull me on. However Zero gets lazy and I think I do more work then he does.

I have a passion for making and decorating cakes and cupcakes. It's such a creative outlet. I love buttercream icing!

Another hobby of mine is Geocaching! It's a treasure hunt that takes me to new challenges and places I have never been. My geocaching name is MONKEYBUGS. If you are into Geocaching, sign your geocaching name on your postcard and I will look you up on the website. I only have over 1,000 finds because of my busy life but I'm always looking for fun caches to grab along the way.

My son is my life! He means the world to me and just recently got accepted into AMDA - a performance art college in New York City. He's really into the theater, singing and bow ties! One day he might just be on Broadway!! We love to go to any kind of performances, muscicals, plays, poetry readings, concerts, and local community theater.

Can't wait to hear from you! I love getting mail! Any postcard would be great. If you would prefer to write it in your native language, that would be great too!! Happy Postcrossing!
- Melissa
